Despite my dad being a really great guy, stylish and well dressed, he wasn't really into watches, so I'm really the first generation of watch lovers in our family.

My first watch purchase was a Watches of Switzerland own brand "Jean Renet" purchased in 1980, which, was for many years my only watch so in daily use, and to be fair, took the brunt of that sad factor. I still have it and whilst it is still working, has been retained more for nostalgia, than regular use, my collection now includes many more to choose from as the occasion dictates.
