"The watch is priceless, like the memories."
My dad was a tough nut to crack. A proper bloke. Working class mechanic and not a single bit of bling in him. He wore the same old leather strap timex for years and begrudged changing a battery. Unfortunately he passed away from a mixture of cancer and septicemia years ago.
When he died, and I inevitably inherited a little bit of money, I decided to do the one thing he would have most certainly disapproved of and bought myself an expensive watch to remember him by. He would have kicked right off. "Why do you wanna waste your money on **** like that?" I can hear it now.
I bought this Tag F1 Calibre 16. It was my first toe in the water of luxury watches. I now have a collection to thank/blame him for, and I remember him every time I look at this watch. From helping him in the garage to watching Top Gear on the sofa together. The watch is priceless, like the memories.
