Nomadic’s St. Patrick’s Day Special: A Timepiece with Irish Flair
As the calendar flips to March, the anticipation of St. Patrick’s Day begins to build. This year, Northern Irish watchmaker Nomadic is adding to the excitement with a unique tribute to the Emerald Isle: a limited-edition Marai 401 divers’ watch.
This isn’t your average timepiece. The first hint of its Irish inspiration is the striking dark green bezel. But the real pièce de résistance lies on the underside of the watch: a customised oscillating weight crafted into the shape of a shamrock clover leaf. It’s a subtle nod to the holiday that’s sure to catch the eye of watch enthusiasts and patriots alike.
The exclusivity of this piece is part of its allure. Only 33 of these watches are being produced, each going on sale for £1,150 / $1,350 on the Nomadic website starting March 1. In a unique twist, only one watch will be available each day, with a new piece dropping at 7pm GMT.
For those in London, Nomadic will be showcasing their craftsmanship at the British Watchmakers’ Day on March 9 at Lindley Hall. Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase one of two additional Black Shamrock watches.
The Marai 401 isn’t just about aesthetics. It’s a dive watch that’s water-resistant up to 200 metres and comes in a 40mm x 11.5mm steel case. It houses a Sellita SW200-1 automatic movement with a 41-hour power reserve. High-end features such as a ceramic insert in its unidirectional bezel, domed sapphire glass, and high-grade SuperLumiNova make it a standout in functionality and design.
So, as you prepare to don your green attire this St. Patrick’s Day, why not add a touch of Irish charm to your wrist with Nomadic’s Black Shamrock watch? It’s a stylish way to celebrate the holiday and a testament to Nomadic’s innovative spirit.
