England’s National Football Team Has the Most Expensive Watch Collection in the Euro Finals

England's journey to the UEFA European Championship Finals against Spain is notable not just for their football prowess; their taste in luxury watches is equally impressive. Pre-owned watch specialist Watchfinder & Co. evaluated the timepieces of the top teams, revealing that England’s players have a combined watch collection worth approximately $5.3 million (£4.1 million).

Phil Foden, Ivan Toney, Cole Palmer, Kobbie Mainoo, and Jude Bellingham collectively own 24 Rolex models; Foden’s collection alone includes some of the most coveted pieces, while Bellingham’s Rolexes are known for their sophistication and style. These stars clearly have a penchant for the Crown brand.

Harry Kane and Bukayo Saka favor Patek Philippe; Kane boasts a newly released Aquanaut Travel Time, among other models; Saka sports an Aquanaut chronograph, showcasing their refined taste. Trent Alexander-Arnold’s collection includes a six-figure Richard Mille RM 67-01, highlighting his preference for high-end timepieces; Declan Rice complements this with a black-ceramic Audemars Piguet Royal Oak chronograph, valued for its elegance and craftsmanship.

The Netherlands, who competed for a spot in the Final against England, have a team watch collection valued around $1.8 million (£1.4 million). Virgil van Dijk, the team captain, owns four different Patek Philippe models worth a combined $395,000 (£309,000); Memphis Depay’s collection features a six-figure Richard Mille RM 030 “Polo Club Saint-Tropez”; Nathan Aké prefers the sporty Rolex Yacht-Master II, enhancing the overall worth of the Dutch team's collection.

Spain, after their victory against France in the semi-finals, has a watch collection valued at roughly $1.6 million (£1.3 million). David Raya and Nico Williams prefer the classics; Raya with a Cartier De Santos and Williams with a Rolex Oyster Perpetual. Sergio Ramos adds a touch of luxury with his gem-encrusted Rolex Rainbow Daytona, known for its exclusivity and high value.

Portugal, despite their recent relegation, deserves an honorable mention; their collection is valued at over $15.7 million (£12.2 million). Cristiano Ronaldo’s personal haul exceeds $6.4 million (£5 million), including some of the most exquisite timepieces. France also has a noteworthy collection worth $5.1 million (£4 million), thanks to Ousmane Dembélé and Kylian Mbappé, both renowned for their horological tastes.

“Footballers have long been recognized for their impressive watch collections; this year’s Euros provided the perfect opportunity to establish which national team has the most valuable collection,” stated Ben Staniforth, Watchfinder & Co.’s in-house expert. “Seeing England top the table is always a pleasure; their preference for Rolex certainly helped them secure the top spot; with more Richard Mille and Patek Philippe timepieces than any other team in the semifinals, they were always going to be the team to beat.”
