TAG Heuer Introduces the Carrera Chronograph x Fragment Limited Edition
TAG Heuer continues to revisit the heritage of the Carrera line with a new collaboration that blends restrained contemporary aesthetics with cues drawn from the 1960s and 1970s. The Carrera Chronograph x Fragment Limited Edition is the brand’s latest joint project with Hiroshi Fujiwara, the influential figure behind the Fragment label. The model builds on the retro spirit of the Glassbox releases launched in 2023 to mark the sixtieth anniversary of the Carrera collection.
This is the third collaboration between TAG Heuer and Fujiwara. As with the earlier editions, the emphasis lies on minimalism and finely judged details. The stainless steel case is shaped in the classic Carrera style and features vintage inspired pump pushers, angular lugs and alternating brushed and polished surfaces. The watch measures 39 millimetres in diameter and 13.9 millimetres in thickness, offering a balanced footprint on the wrist. Water resistance is rated at 100 metres.

A Glassbox Profile and a Monochrome Dial
In keeping with the design language of the Glassbox series, the model has virtually no external bezel. A domed sapphire crystal rises above the inner tachymeter ring and flows almost seamlessly into the case at its outer edge. From certain angles the crystal introduces subtle optical distortions that emphasise the curvature of the dial and reinforce the vintage character of the watch.
The inner bezel is slightly elevated and rounded, rendered in white with a silver tachymeter scale. The matte black dial below hosts three registers in their customary positions. The small seconds display sits at six o’clock, the 30 minute chronograph counter at three o’clock and the 12 hour counter at nine o’clock. Fujiwara’s pared back philosophy is reflected in the absence of numerals on the subdials, which feature only simple scales.
Square hour markers filled with grey Super LumiNova replace traditional applied indices, while the rhodium plated hands carry white luminous inserts. One of the most distinctive features of the watch is the Fragment emblem, represented by two white lightning bolts placed within the date aperture. Unusually, the date window is located at the top of the dial. The space usually reserved for the date at six o’clock is occupied instead by the word Fragment.

A Fragment Signature on the Movement
Turning the watch over reveals another Fragment motif. The twin lightning bolt emblem is printed on the sapphire crystal above the oscillating weight. The rotor itself takes the form of a shield, echoing the TAG Heuer crest, and is accented with black lines that tie visually to the dial details.
The watch is powered by the TH20 00 calibre, an automatic chronograph movement equipped with a column wheel and a vertical clutch. It operates at 28800 vibrations per hour and features a robust power reserve of approximately 80 hours. The movement architecture ensures smooth chronograph engagement and supports the precision expected of a modern Carrera.

Bracelet, Presentation and Edition Size
The watch is fitted with a seven row stainless steel bracelet inspired by the beads of rice design commonly associated with mid twentieth century wristwatches. Fujiwara’s influence is visible on the central links, which are highlighted with black PVD coating to provide a subtle but recognisable contrast. The model is delivered in a black presentation box and is limited to five hundred individually numbered pieces.
