Geneva Watch Days 2026 Sets New Record

Geneva Watch Days 2026 in Numbers

The seventh edition established several new benchmarks for Geneva Watch Days. Alongside record brand participation, visitor figures demonstrated the growing role of collectors and the wider watch community.

Key figures from Geneva Watch Days 2026 include:

  • 71 participating brands, a new record for the event

  • Nearly 400 new watch releases presented across Geneva

  • More than 2,500 collectors, private clients and watch enthusiasts

  • More than 500 international media and content creators

  • More than 300 international retailers

  • Nearly 5,000 unique visitors to the Pavillon

The number of collectors, private clients and enthusiasts more than doubled compared with 2025. The event also attracted a larger community of content creators, with 150 more attending than in 2025.

Collectors and Watch Enthusiasts Take a Bigger Role

One of the defining features of Geneva Watch Days 2026 was the increased presence of collectors and private visitors.

Throughout the week, enthusiasts could encounter participating brands in showrooms, boutiques, galleries, hotel suites and the event's central venues. The format provided opportunities to meet watchmakers and brand executives while examining new releases at close range.

Touch & Feel sessions were designed to give visitors direct access to watches alongside representatives of the brands and their creators. The Collectors' Lounge also operated as a meeting point throughout the event.

Retailers contributed to the increase in private attendance by bringing their own clients and communities to Geneva in greater numbers than in 2025.

The result was a stronger emphasis on interaction between brands, collectors and enthusiasts, alongside the traditional presence of retailers and international media.

Pavillon and Blue Box Attract Thousands of Visitors

The Pavillon at the Rotonde du Mont-Blanc remained at the centre of Geneva Watch Days, attracting nearly 5,000 unique visitors over the course of the event. Around 1,200 people visited the Pavillon on Sunday alone.

A short distance away, the Blue Box operated in a new format and became another important destination for visitors. Nearly 3,000 unique visitors attended its exhibition dedicated to the Four Elements: Water, Earth, Air and Fire.

Nearly 400 New Watches From 71 Brands

Geneva Watch Days 2026 brought together a broad range of contemporary watchmaking, from major established names to independent brands and watchmakers working under their own names.

The 71 participating brands presented nearly 400 new releases during the five-day event. The new releases were presented in boutiques, hotels, showrooms and dedicated spaces across the city.

The 2026 line-up included Breitling, Bvlgari, Zenith, Girard-Perregaux, Oris, MB&F, De Bethune, Greubel Forsey, Laurent Ferrier, Urwerk, Konstantin Chaykin, Bell & Ross, Bremont, Czapek, Frédérique Constant and Maurice Lacroix.

Independent and specialist names including Krayon, Ming, Trilobe, Furlan Marri, Renaud Tixier, Louis Erard, Louis Moinet, Ferdinand Berthoud and Singer Reimagined were also among the participants.

This mix of established Maisons, independent manufacturers and individual creators remained a central characteristic of the event, giving visitors access to a wide range of approaches to contemporary watchmaking.

Watchmaking Culture, Science and Education

Geneva Watch Days 2026 extended beyond new watch presentations, with a programme covering industry discussions, watchmaking culture, technical skills, science and education.

The Power Breakfasts took place each morning with the support of PMI, bringing together executives, entrepreneurs, business figures and industry professionals to discuss issues affecting the sector.

The Culture Club focused on watchmaking culture throughout the week, while the CaliberShip Challenge, organised with the Geneva Watchmaking School and COSC, tested participants on the regulation of a mechanical movement. Professionals and other participants faced the same objective of regulating the movement as precisely as possible.

The Pavillon also hosted Amplitude Op. II from the Dominique Renaud Foundation. The programme brought together Nobel Prize-winning physicist Didier Queloz, Thomas Hertog, Janna Levin and Katie Mack to explore the nature of time.

Activities for younger visitors formed another part of the programme. These included creative workshops, meetings with young collectors, family and children's activities on Sunday, and exchanges with students from the Geneva Watchmaking School.

Charity Auction Raises CHF 115,500

Watchmaking education was also supported through the event's charity auction, organised on Thursday, 3 September by Phillips in Association with Bacs & Russo.

Sixteen unique lots donated by participating brands raised CHF 115,500 for the Geneva Watchmaking School and the Pierre Amstutz Fund. The fund supports apprentices in watchmaking and micromechanics who face financial difficulties.

The highest result of the auction came from a unique creation by Konstantin Chaykin, which sold for CHF 24,000.

The charity auction was first held in 2023. Since then, it has raised a total of CHF 519,400 in support of watchmaking education and the next generation of professionals entering the industry.

Geneva Watch Days Continues to Expand

The seventh edition also highlighted the event's growing connections with institutions and organisations across Geneva.

For the second consecutive year, the opening press conference took place at Palais Eynard. Representatives included Delphine Bachmann, State Councillor responsible for the Department of Economy and Employment, Christina Kitsos, Mayor of Geneva, and Jean-Christophe Babin, President of the Geneva Watch Days Association.

The Canton and City of Geneva were joined during the week by organisations including the Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève, Geneva Tourism, the Geneva Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Services, the Geneva Watchmaking School, the Musée International d'Horlogerie, Phillips in Association with Bacs & Russo and the Fondation Haute Horlogerie.

Geneva Watch Days began as a collective gathering of watch brands and has expanded considerably over seven editions. The 2026 figures underline that development, with record brand participation, nearly 400 new releases and more than twice as many collectors, private clients and enthusiasts as in 2025.

With 71 brands and thousands of visitors attending venues and presentations across the city, Geneva Watch Days 2026 combined new product launches with direct access to watchmakers, industry discussions, educational initiatives and opportunities for collectors to experience new watches in person.
