Corum Heritage Coin Collection Celebrates 250 Years of the United States
Corum has marked the 250th anniversary of the United States by revisiting one of the brand's most unusual designs. The new Heritage Coin Collection comprises 50 different models, each dedicated to one of the fifty US states, with five pieces produced per model.

A Design Dating Back to 1964
The Corum Coin Watch has occupied a unique place in the brand's collection since its debut in 1964.
Each watch is based on a $20 coin struck in 22-carat gold, which is divided into two sections. The obverse serves as the dial, while the reverse forms the caseback. Between the two sits an ultra-thin movement, with its edge reproducing the reeded profile of the original coin.
One Dial, Fifty Individual Casebacks
Every model in the new Heritage Coin Collection shares the same dial design. It features the American eagle together with the engraved inscription "250 Years of Independence."
The distinguishing feature of each watch is its individually engraved caseback, depicting a landmark, symbol, historic event or cultural tradition associated with its respective state.
Construction and Movement
As with the original Coin Watch concept, each timepiece is built around a coin divided into two halves. One half forms the dial beneath a sapphire crystal, while the other becomes the caseback.
Between them sits a 39 mm yellow gold case housing the Corum CO082 automatic calibre. The movement operates at 4 Hz and delivers an approximate 42-hour power reserve.
Availability and Price
To maintain the focus on the coin itself, the dial has been kept deliberately simple. The watch is paired with a textured vulcanised rubber strap designed to resemble leather.
The collection has been available exclusively through the Corum website since 4 July. The collection is expected to appeal to collectors, enthusiasts of American classics and admirers of the original Coin Watch.
The approximate retail price is $58,000.
