GPHG 2026 Shortlist Revealed With 84 Nominated Timepieces

GPHG 2026 Shortlist: 84 Watches Across 14 Categories

The GPHG Academy selected the 84 nominated timepieces from 320 watches submitted by 194 manufacturers. With six nominations in each category, the shortlist covers everything from traditional time-only watches and chronographs to tourbillons, artistic crafts and mechanical clocks.

The 14 categories are:

Several brands appear in more than one category. Audemars Piguet, for example, has nominated pieces in Essential, Chronograph, Calendar & Astronomy and Artistic Crafts, while Chopard appears in Time Only, Mechanical Exception, Sports, Jewellery and Mechanical Clock. Parmigiani Fleurier is represented across Time Only, Essential, Chronograph and Calendar & Astronomy.

From Time Only to Mechanical Exception

The Time Only category includes the Bulgari Octo Finissimo 37 Satin-Polished Titanium, Chopard L.U.C 1860, Laurent Ferrier Classic Origin Beige, Naoya Hida & Co. NH Type8A, Parmigiani Fleurier Toric Petite Seconde and Piaget Polo 79 Sodalite Watch.

The Essential category brings together the Audemars Piguet Neo Frame Jumping Hour, Daniel Roth Extra Plat Rose Gold Skeleton, Grand Seiko Hand-engraved Manual-winding Spring Drive, MB&F SP One Platinum, Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda PF Minute Rattrapante Arctic Rose and Stéphane Pierre L'Impétrant.

More experimental mechanical concepts appear in the Complication category. The six nominees are Cleguer Inspiration One, Czapek Time Jumper, Dominique Renaud Pulse60 Titanium Black, Lederer Watches CIC 39 InVerto Titanium, Ulysse Nardin x Urwerk UR-FREAK and Behrens x Vianney Halter KWH.

Mechanical Exception includes some of the most technically ambitious pieces on the shortlist. Blancpain's Grande Double Sonnerie competes alongside the Chopard L.U.C Grand Strike, Christiaan Van Der Klaauw CVDK Grand Planetarium Eccentric Silicium, Ferdinand Berthoud Naissance d'une Montre 3, H. Moser & Cie. Endeavour Minute Repeater Cylindrical Tourbillon Skeleton Cosmic Rain and Konstantin Chaykin Thinking Mystery.

Gemset, Tourbillon and Chronograph Nominees

The Gemset category highlights the jewellery side of contemporary watchmaking. Its six nominated pieces are the Bovet 1822 Récital 23, Bulgari Serpenti Aeterna, Chopard L'Heure du Diamant, Franck Muller Round Triple Mystery Skeleton, Piaget Swinging Pebble and Tiffany & Co. Paradise Bird Toucan.

Tourbillon brings together six different interpretations of one of traditional mechanical watchmaking's best-known regulating mechanisms:

The six Tourbillon nominees range from constant-force and world-time constructions to independent interpretations centred on traditional hand finishing.

The Chronograph category includes the Audemars Piguet Royal Oak "Jumbo" Extra-thin Selfwinding Flying Tourbillon Chronograph RD#5 "150th Anniversary", H. Moser & Cie. Endeavour Flyback Chronograph Dual Time Date, Louis Moinet 1816 Chronograph, Parmigiani Fleurier Tonda PF Chronographe Mystérieux, Rexhep Rexhepi Chronograph Flyback and TAG Heuer Monaco Evergraph.

Calendar, Sports and Jewellery Watches

Calendar & Astronomy includes Audemars Piguet 150 Heritage, Berneron Quantième Annuel, Bovet 1822 Récital 31, Christiaan Van Der Klaauw CVDK Venus Annual Calendar, Krayon Anyday Rose Gold and Parmigiani Fleurier Toric Perpetual Calendar 30th Anniversary.

The Sports category features Chopard Zagato Lab One Concept, Grand Seiko Spring Drive U.F.A. Ushio 300 Diver, H. Moser & Cie. Streamliner Pump, Hermès H08 squelette, IWC Schaffhausen Big Pilot's Watch Perpetual Calendar Ceralume and Laurent Ferrier Sport Traveller Slate Grey.

High jewellery receives a separate category. Bulgari's Tubogas Manchette, Chopard Mystery Nut, Dior Grand Bal Nuit des Indes, Franck Muller Vanguard Curvex Cut Flower, Jacob & Co Billionaire Double Tourbillon Angel-Cut Diamonds and Piaget Flowing Curves Cuff Watch make up the six Jewellery nominees.

Artistic Crafts includes ANDERSEN Genève Celestial Voyager VK Edition, Audemars Piguet Établisseurs Nomade, Bovet 1822 Monsieur Bovet Tribute to Edouard Bovet, Bulgari Serpenti Misteriosi, L.Leroy Vox Temporis and Louis Vuitton Tambour Taiko Arty Automata.

Petite Aiguille, Challenge and Mechanical Clock

The Petite Aiguille category includes Christopher Ward Loco Classic, Frédérique Constant Classic Worldtimer Manufacture, Massena Lab Noctograph by Massena LAB and Raúl Pagès, MING x J.N. Shapiro 37.06 Lightning, Otsuka Lotec No.8 and TAG Heuer Monaco Chronograph.

Challenge features Beaubleu La Pièce No.2, Beda'a Angles Guichets, Favre Leuba Chief Skeleton, Frédérique Constant Classics Moneta Handwinding, Seiko King Seiko VANAC and SpaceOne X Baltic Seconde Majeure.

The final category is dedicated to mechanical clocks. The six nominees are Carl Suchy & Söhne Table Waltz Tourbillon Mirror Edition, Chopard The Beehive Chiming Table Clock, L'Epée 1839 The Gekko, La Vallée Cosmo, Louis Vuitton x De Bethune LVDB-03 Sympathique Louis Varius and Miki Eleta Frog Queen.

GPHG 2026 Exhibition Tour and Awards Ceremony

Before the winners are announced, the 84 nominated timepieces will travel as part of the GPHG exhibition programme.

The tour begins in Mumbai from 28 September to 1 October before moving to Bangkok from 15 to 18 October. The nominated pieces will then be exhibited in Geneva from 29 October to 15 November and in London from 18 to 23 November.

The GPHG Jury will select the winners of the 19 prizes, which will be presented in Geneva on 7 November 2026. This year's jury is chaired for the first time by Wei Koh, founder of Revolution magazine.

With 84 nominated timepieces selected from 320 entries by 194 manufacturers, the 2026 shortlist provides a broad snapshot of the watches and mechanical clocks competing at this year's Grand Prix d'Horlogerie de Genève. The winners will be revealed when the GPHG awards are presented in Geneva on 7 November.
