Breitling Unveils Top Time B01 Chronographs Inspired by the Aston Martin DB5
Breitling has introduced three new Top Time B01 Chronograph 41 watches paying tribute to the Aston Martin DB5, combining details inspired by the car with the collection's distinctive neo-retro styling.
The trio draws on elements associated with Aston Martin interiors and the design language of 1960s chronographs. Each version measures 41 mm across and 13.8 mm thick, with different case materials, dials and production numbers distinguishing the three editions.
At the heart of all three watches is the COSC-certified Breitling Manufacture Calibre 01, an automatic chronograph movement providing a 70-hour power reserve.

Design Details Inspired by the Aston Martin DB5
The Top Time B01 Chronograph 41 Tribute to Aston Martin DB5 uses a cushion-shaped case with fluted sides and mushroom-style chronograph pushers, details that evoke chronographs from the 1960s.
The automotive influence continues across the dial. The rounded-square chronograph counters echo the design of instruments on a classic car dashboard, while a wooden inner ring takes inspiration from the steering wheel of the DB5.
Breitling has also used hand-painted calfskin leather straps with a gradient effect designed to evoke the depth and colour of premium automotive upholstery.
These details combine the Top Time's neo-retro character with design elements inspired by the Aston Martin DB5.

Steel Edition References the Top Time Ref. 2002
The first version combines a stainless-steel case with a silver-coloured dial.
Its appearance is the closest of the three to the Top Time Ref. 2002 seen on Sean Connery's wrist in the James Bond film Thunderball.
Production of the stainless-steel model is limited to 1,022 pieces.
Steel and Platinum Edition Limited to 315 Pieces
The second version combines steel and platinum with a black lacquered dial.
Production is limited to 315 pieces.
It retains the same 41 mm case dimensions and Aston Martin-inspired details as the other watches in the series, including the rounded-square counters and wooden inner ring.
Red Gold Version Introduces a Natural Onyx Dial
The third version features a red-gold case paired with a natural onyx dial.
This marks the first time Breitling has combined a red-gold case with a natural onyx dial.
The model is limited to 250 individually numbered pieces, giving it the smallest production run of the three versions.
Breitling Manufacture Calibre 01 Provides a 70-Hour Power Reserve
All three versions are powered by the COSC-certified Breitling Manufacture Calibre 01.
The automatic chronograph movement uses a column wheel and vertical clutch and provides a power reserve of 70 hours.
A sapphire crystal caseback reveals the movement and a rotor engraved with the Aston Martin logo. Depending on the version, the rotor is made from either rhodium-plated metal or red gold.
Three Limited Editions With Different Prices
Each version of the Breitling Top Time B01 Chronograph 41 Tribute to Aston Martin DB5 is produced in limited numbers.
The stainless-steel model is limited to 1,022 pieces and is priced at approximately $11,400. The steel-and-platinum version is limited to 315 pieces and is priced at approximately $18,600.
The red-gold model with its natural onyx dial is restricted to 250 numbered pieces and is priced at approximately $41,500.
Across all three editions, Breitling combines the Top Time's 1960s-inspired chronograph design with materials and details referencing the Aston Martin DB5.
