Breitling Navitimer B09 Chronograph 41 Pays Tribute to Miles Davis

Inspired by the Breitling Navitimer Worn by Miles Davis

The design of the new Navitimer draws directly on the Breitling 806 Mk5 associated with Miles Davis during the 1960s.

Its stainless steel case measures 41mm in diameter and 13mm thick. The dial uses a reverse-panda configuration, combining a dark main surface with contrasting chronograph counters.

Breitling has also incorporated its vintage Twin Jet logo, reinforcing the connection with the Navitimer designs of the period. Cream-coloured luminous material contributes to the vintage-inspired appearance.

Manually Wound Breitling B09 Chronograph Movement

Inside the watch is Breitling's manufacture calibre B09, a manually wound chronograph movement offering approximately 70 hours of power reserve.

The movement is equipped with a column wheel and vertical clutch and is COSC-certified.

Air Racer Bracelet Revives a 1960s Breitling Design

Alongside the brown calfskin strap, Breitling offers the limited edition on a stainless steel Air Racer bracelet.

The Air Racer design first appeared during the 1960s and is distinguished by its broad openings running through the bracelet. The bracelet became popular thanks to French singer Serge Gainsbourg.

For the new Miles Davis edition, Breitling has produced a modern interpretation of the Air Racer. The version used for the watch incorporates flexible links near the clasp.

The two configurations are priced at approximately €8,900 with the leather strap and €9,600 with the steel bracelet.

Two Years of Breitling Social Club Membership

Owners of the limited-edition Miles Davis Navitimer will also receive two years of membership in the Breitling Social Club.

The club is scheduled to open in New York in late 2027 and will provide members with access to exclusive Breitling events.

Lifetime Club Member Set Includes Three Navitimers

Breitling is also offering a Lifetime Club Member Set, limited to just 50 sets. Purchasing the set provides lifetime membership in the Breitling Social Club.

The collection brings together three interpretations inspired by the Navitimer 806 Mk5:

• a stainless steel version;

• a yellow-gold version;

• a platinum version.

The yellow-gold watch, like the stainless steel model, features a reverse-panda dial. It is paired with a black calfskin leather strap.

The platinum model takes a different approach, combining its case with a blue dial and matching blue leather strap.

The indicative price of the complete Lifetime Club Member Set is $96,400.

With the 500-piece Navitimer B09 Chronograph 41 and the 50-piece Lifetime Club Member Set, Breitling revisits the Navitimer 806 Mk5 through its connection with Miles Davis, combining 1960s-inspired design elements with the manually wound B09 chronograph movement.
