IWC Schaffhausen Pilot’s Watch George Russell Editions
IWC expands its Pilot’s Watch collection with two black ceramic editions created in partnership with George Russell. The restrained black aesthetic is punctuated by vivid blue accents inspired by the driver’s signature helmet.
Russell joined IWC as an ambassador in 2022 while racing for the Mercedes-AMG Petronas Formula One Team. Four years into that collaboration, the result is a pair of limited models that reflect both the visual codes of the Top Gun line and elements drawn from the driver’s personal story.
IWC has been an official partner of Mercedes-AMG Petronas since 2013, and numerous timepieces have emerged from that relationship. While the 2026 releases may at first resemble earlier Mercedes-AMG editions of the Pilot Mark XX or Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41, they are firmly positioned within the Top Gun family, characterised by matte dials, a military-inflected aesthetic and advanced case materials such as ceramic and Ceratanium.

The Number 63
Beyond the blue detailing that echoes Russell’s helmet, both watches reference the number 63. The number was used in the 2000s by his older brother Benjamin and has since become a family racing number, now featured on Russell’s helmet. The casebacks are engraved with 63, and each model is limited to 1,063 pieces.

Pilot’s Watch Chronograph 41 George Russell
The chronograph is presented in a 41.9 mm zirconium oxide ceramic case measuring 15.5 mm in height and offering water resistance to 100 metres. The pushers and crown are crafted from Ceratanium. The dial is protected by IWC’s sapphire crystal secured against displacement in the event of sudden pressure changes. A titanium caseback and an inner soft iron case provide additional durability and protection against magnetic fields.
The matte black dial features blue numerals and markers, with hands filled with matching blue Super-LumiNova. Inside is the automatic calibre 69380 with a 46 hour power reserve. The movement is a column wheel chronograph and includes a double aperture displaying both the day and the date.
Pilot’s Watch Automatic 41 George Russell
The time only model shares the same design language in a 41 mm black ceramic case measuring 11.4 mm in thickness. It features a Ceratanium crown, sapphire crystal and an inner soft iron case, along with blue accents on the dial and corresponding luminous treatment on the hands.
Power comes from the automatic calibre 321112, delivering a five day power reserve. In addition to hours, minutes and date, the movement incorporates a hacking seconds function.
