Bell & Ross BR-X3 Micro-Rotor Watch
Bell & Ross has introduced the BR-X3 Micro-Rotor, a refined evolution of the architectural design language first explored in the BR-X3 Tourbillon Micro-Rotor presented in 2025. The new model retains the distinctive visual identity of its predecessor while removing the tourbillon, resulting in a more restrained and accessible interpretation.
The watch continues to emphasise structure, transparency and mechanical clarity, positioning itself as a contemporary expression of technical watchmaking.

Design Influences and Concept
The design of the BR-X3 Micro-Rotor draws inspiration from the abstract compositions of Piet Mondrian, as well as elements of modernist architecture and furniture design associated with Charlotte Perriand. These influences are reflected in the geometric layout of the movement, defined by straight, intersecting bridges and a clear emphasis on proportion and balance.
The result is a highly structured aesthetic where each component contributes to the overall visual rhythm.
Case and Construction
The case measures 40 by 40 mm and is constructed as a stainless steel framework, to which two sapphire blocks are attached. The upper sapphire is secured by four signature screws, a recognisable feature of Bell & Ross design.
Thanks to the use of a micro-rotor, the case maintains a slim profile of just 9 mm, reinforcing the watch’s focus on compact mechanical integration.
Openworked Architecture
The movement follows a grid-like structure that echoes the external design. The dial is intentionally minimal, displaying only two hands treated with blue-emission luminous material for legibility in low light.
An open balance is positioned in the lower section of the dial, visually counterbalanced by the micro-rotor. This symmetry contributes to the clarity of the composition, while also highlighting the functional elements of the movement.
Movement and Finishing
The BR-X3 Micro-Rotor is powered by the BR-CAL.390 calibre, developed in collaboration with Concepto. The movement offers a power reserve of approximately 48 hours.
Visually, the calibre is defined by the contrast between rhodium-plated components and bridges finished with a combination of polished and satin surfaces. These are set above base plates with a micro-blasted texture, enhancing depth and light interaction across the movement.
Wearability and Production
The watch is fitted with a grey calf leather strap, complementing its restrained and architectural aesthetic.
Production is limited to 99 pieces, with an approximate retail price of CHF 20,100. Through this release, Bell & Ross continues to explore the balance between technical expression and wearable design, translating a complex visual concept into a more streamlined mechanical form.
