It’s a bit of visual trickery that instantly lightens the dial and makes the hands look weightless as they glide across the face. Also, rather than the flat, stamped brass disc, the Doppio features a deeply concave dial that slopes inward like a shallow, polished bowl. Protecting this curved landscape is a double-domed sapphire crystal, so when you tilt the watch under a desk lamp, light bounces off the curved crystal and the concave dial simultaneously, creating an ever-shifting play of shadows.
