Zenith continues to expand its contemporary Defy Skyline line with a new pink gold tourbillon model that subtly references one of the most recognisable architectural features in the brand’s history. Introduced in 2022, the Defy Skyline collection was developed as a modern evolution of the Defy models of 1969, offering a vision of an everyday urban watch rooted in the manufacture’s design codes. The latest addition brings high complication to the series while maintaining the sculptural character that defines the range.

A pink gold case with distinct architectural presence
The watch is housed in a 41 millimetre case crafted from pink gold. Its faceted geometry is highlighted through a combination of polished and satin finished surfaces that emphasise the angular construction typical of the Defy family. As with earlier versions of the Defy Skyline Tourbillon, the dial is decorated with a repeating four pointed star motif that radiates outward from the tourbillon aperture positioned at the lower section of the dial.
The dial itself is executed in a deep brick red tone, chosen as a tribute to the brickwork of Zenith’s historic manufacture in Le Locle. Pink gold hour markers and hands complement the case and are coated with Super LumiNova to ensure legibility.

El Primero engineering with a modern tourbillon construction
Inside the watch is the El Primero 3630 calibre, developed entirely in house. This automatic movement operates at a high frequency of 5 hertz and offers a power reserve of 50 hours. The tourbillon carriage is an ultra light construction weighing only 0.25 grams, underscoring the technical refinement of the mechanism. Decorative elements echo the dial pattern, creating visual continuity between the exterior and the movement.
The bridges are finished with laser engraved relief stripes reminiscent of Geneva waves, arranged so that they radiate from the tourbillon in a manner similar to the star motif on the dial. The oscillating weight, shaped as an openworked star, is produced in pink gold to match the case.

Integrated bracelet and interchangeable strap system
The Defy Skyline Tourbillon in pink gold is offered on an integrated bracelet with H shaped links, also crafted from pink gold. A brick red rubber strap is supplied as part of the set and pairs precisely with the colour of the dial. The watch features Zenith’s quick strap exchange system, allowing the bracelet and strap to be swapped without tools.
