Omega Introduces the Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch Black & White
Omega has expanded the Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch collection with two new Black & White references, introducing a contemporary take on the popular inverted panda aesthetic. The models are offered in stainless steel and in the brand’s proprietary Moonshine Gold alloy, and share two defining features: a multi layer lacquered dial and a black ceramic bezel.

A layered approach to the dial
The most distinctive element of the new Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch Black & White is its two layer dial construction. The upper layer consists of a polished black plate finished with a high gloss lacquer, while the lower layer is equally glossy but executed in white lacquer, creating strong visual contrast and depth.
The dial layout is designed to emphasise clarity. The minute track and printed text are rendered in white, standing out against the black surface, while the chronograph sub dial markings are executed in black on the white lower layer. This inverted panda configuration reinforces the technical character of the Speedmaster while offering a fresher, more graphic appearance.

Case, bezel and external details
Both versions retain the familiar Speedmaster Professional Moonwatch case proportions. Applied hour markers and hands are crafted from the same material as the case, either stainless steel or Moonshine Gold, ensuring visual coherence across each reference.
Sapphire crystal is used on both the front and the caseback, allowing a clear view of the dial as well as the movement. Replacing the traditional aluminium bezel insert, Omega has fitted a black ceramic bezel, with the tachymeter scale executed in white enamel. This choice improves scratch resistance while preserving the iconic Speedmaster layout.

Movement and certification
Inside the case is the well established calibre 3861, a manually wound chronograph movement that represents the current generation of the Moonwatch. The movement uses a cam operated chronograph mechanism and is equipped with Omega’s Co Axial escapement and a free sprung balance.
Calibre 3861 is certified by METAS as a Master Chronometer, meeting stringent standards for precision, magnetic resistance and overall performance. The movement offers a power reserve of 50 hours, in line with the rest of the modern Speedmaster Professional range.

Both models are supplied on metal bracelets matched to the case material and fitted with a two position adjustment system, allowing for quick fine tuning of the fit.
