Hublot Big Bang Meca-10 Street Art: Concrete, Colour and Mechanical Expression

In December 2025, Hublot marked the conclusion of the twentieth anniversary of its Big Bang collection with one of the most unconventional releases in the line’s history. The manufacture introduced a quartet of limited edition Big Bang Meca-10 Street Art models, unveiled during an event held at the Miami Beach EDITION hotel. With their bold colours and expressive surfaces, the watches were well suited to the vibrant setting chosen for their presentation.

At the heart of the project lies Hublot’s ongoing exploration of unconventional materials. For this release, the brand turned to composite concrete, transforming an industrial material into an artistic medium.

Concrete as a creative canvas

Each Big Bang Meca-10 Street Art is housed in a 44 mm case with a thickness of 15.3 mm. The cases are made from composite concrete and finished entirely by hand. Splashes of ultraviolet reactive paint are applied individually, creating energetic, abstract compositions inspired by the visual language of street art and abstract expressionism.

Under ultraviolet light, the painted surfaces reveal an additional layer of colour intensity, reinforcing the artistic character of the collection. The hand applied nature of the decoration introduces subtle variations from one case to another, enhancing the individuality of each piece.

Four distinct colour expressions

The quartet consists of four visually distinct versions, each defined by its own colour palette.

  • Magic City combines purple and green tones.

  • Vice features vivid pink accented with blue.

  • Big Water explores cooler shades of blue and grey.

  • Sunshine brings together yellow, orange and green, complemented by discreet touches of pink.

Despite their differences, all four models share the same underlying case architecture and dial layout, ensuring visual coherence across the series.

Movement and transparency

The middle case is crafted from tinted sapphire crystal, offering a clear view of the movement from the side. Inside is the manually wound Meca-10 calibre, a movement known for its extended autonomy. The calibre provides a power reserve of ten days and features an openworked construction that integrates naturally with the transparent elements of the case.

Rather than concealing the mechanics, the design places the movement firmly within the visual narrative of the watch.

Straps, production and positioning

Each model is fitted with a rubber strap that complements the urban aesthetic of the collection. The strap is secured with a folding clasp combining titanium and ceramic, balancing durability with visual contrast.

All four versions are produced in numbered editions of just ten pieces each, underlining their highly exclusive nature. The approximate retail price is set at USD 57,500.

A closing statement for the Big Bang

With the Big Bang Meca-10 Street Art, Hublot delivers a final anniversary release that encapsulates the defining principles of the Big Bang collection. The fusion of unconventional materials, expressive design and visible mechanics reflects the experimental spirit that has shaped the line for two decades.

Rather than offering a retrospective tribute, these Street Art editions point forward, reaffirming Hublot’s commitment to bold ideas, material innovation and creative freedom at the intersection of watchmaking and contemporary art.
