Hublot and Yohji Yamamoto Reinterpret the Classic Fusion in All Black Camo

Hublot has unveiled the Classic Fusion Yohji Yamamoto All Black Camo, the fourth collaboration between the Swiss watchmaker and renowned Japanese designer Yohji Yamamoto. The partnership, which began in 2020, continues to explore the concept of black as more than a colour, treating it instead as a medium defined by structure, surface and contrast.

Case and construction

The watch is housed in a 42 mm case crafted from sandblasted black ceramic, giving the familiar Classic Fusion silhouette a distinctly muted and technical character. The matching ceramic bezel is secured with six visible H shaped screws, a signature element of Hublot’s design language. Sapphire crystal with anti reflective coating is fitted on both the front and the caseback, reinforcing the contemporary and architectural feel of the piece.

Dial design and visual identity

The monochrome black dial is defined by a camo inspired pattern that relies entirely on variations in texture and relief rather than colour contrast. This approach creates a subtle play of light across the surface, revealing the camouflage motif only as the angle changes.

Applied black hour markers and sword shaped hands complete the composition, maintaining a restrained and coherent aesthetic. The central seconds hand features a counterweight shaped like the letter H, a discreet nod to the brand without disrupting the overall minimalism.

Movement and mechanics

Visible through the tinted sapphire caseback is the automatic calibre MHUB1110. The movement is equipped with a skeletonised rotor and operates at a frequency of 4 Hz. Power reserve is rated at approximately 48 hours, placing it firmly within the expected performance range for this segment.

While not conceived as a technical showpiece, the movement provides reliable daily performance and complements the watch’s emphasis on design and material execution.

Strap, availability and positioning

The Classic Fusion Yohji Yamamoto All Black Camo is fitted with a black fabric and rubber strap, secured by a folding clasp in dark coated steel. This combination reinforces the watch’s contemporary and urban character while offering practical comfort on the wrist.

Production is limited to 300 individually numbered pieces. The model is available through selected Hublot boutiques as well as the brand’s official online channels. Indicative pricing is set at CHF 10,500, approximately €12,000 or $12,100, positioning the watch as a niche design driven addition to the Classic Fusion collection, appealing to collectors drawn to fashion led collaborations and monochrome aesthetics.
