TAG Heuer Marks Dutch Grand Prix With New Formula 1 Solargraph Watches

Generate AI summary

TAG Heuer is celebrating the 2026 Dutch Grand Prix with a new limited-edition Formula 1 Solargraph, bringing the race's signature orange colour to the brand's solar-powered sports watch.

The Formula 1 Solargraph Dutch Grand Prix edition arrives ahead of the Formula 1 weekend at Circuit Zandvoort, scheduled for 21 to 23 August 2026. Orange plays a central role in the design, referencing the colour closely associated with Dutch motorsport fans and the distinctive atmosphere surrounding the race.

Orange Takes Centre Stage

The new TAG Heuer Formula 1 Solargraph features a compact 38 mm case made from sandblasted stainless steel. It is paired with a grey dial that provides a restrained background for the brighter details used throughout the watch.

The most prominent feature is the orange bidirectional TH-Polylight bezel. Red hands and hour markers provide additional contrast, while eggshell-coloured Super-LumiNova improves visibility in low-light conditions and adds a warmer tone to the otherwise modern colour scheme.

TAG Heuer offers the watch in two configurations. Buyers can choose an orange rubber strap that continues the colour of the bezel or a stainless-steel bracelet for a more understated appearance.

Solar-Powered TH50-00 Movement

Inside the watch is the solar-powered TH50-00 calibre from La Joux-Perret. Once fully charged, the movement can continue operating for up to 10 months without further charging.

Around two minutes of direct sunlight provides approximately enough energy for one day of operation. A full charge requires less than 40 hours of direct sunlight.

These figures make the TH50-00 particularly well suited to the Formula 1 Solargraph concept, combining solar charging with a long operating period between charges.

Two Limited Editions

Production is divided between the two strap and bracelet configurations.

The Formula 1 Solargraph with the orange rubber strap is limited to 1,500 pieces and is priced at approximately $2,150.

The stainless-steel bracelet version is limited to 1,000 pieces and is expected to cost approximately $2,250. This version will be available exclusively through TAG Heuer's online store.

With its 38 mm case, solar-powered movement and prominent orange detailing, the new Formula 1 Solargraph has been created specifically to mark the 2026 Dutch Grand Prix at Zandvoort.
