Panerai Introduces the Luminor Marina PAM01707 in Carbotech
Panerai has expanded its Luminor collection with the new Luminor Marina PAM01707, combining one of the brand's most recognisable case designs with lightweight and corrosion-resistant Carbotech.
The watch retains familiar Luminor features, including a 44 mm case, Panerai's distinctive crown-protection bridge and a sandwich-style dial. These elements are combined with the matt black appearance of Carbotech and vintage-inspired details that reference Panerai's military heritage.
Despite measuring 44 mm across and 14.5 mm thick, the PAM01707 weighs approximately 100 grams. Water resistance is rated to 300 metres.

Carbotech Creates a Distinctive Pattern Across the Case
The case, bezel and crown-protection bridge are made from Carbotech, Panerai's carbon-based composite material.
Carbotech is produced by compressing layers of carbon fibre with PEEK, a high-performance polymer. The resulting material is significantly lighter than steel and titanium while also offering high resistance to corrosion.
Its layered construction creates a distinctive pattern across the matt black surface, giving the material its characteristic appearance.
Other exterior components use titanium. The closed caseback and strap buckle are made from titanium with a DLC coating. Together with the Carbotech construction, these lightweight materials help keep the overall weight of the watch to approximately 100 grams despite its substantial dimensions.
A Sandwich Dial With Vintage-Inspired Super-LumiNova
The PAM01707 features a matt black dial using Panerai's characteristic sandwich construction.
Warm beige Super-LumiNova provides a vintage-inspired contrast with the dark dial and glows green in low-light conditions. The absence of a date display keeps the layout relatively uncluttered and recalls earlier military Panerai watches.
The only additional indication is the small-seconds display positioned at 9 o'clock. This feature also has a historical connection to Panerai's diving watches. On earlier models used by divers, the running seconds indication provided an immediate way to confirm that the watch was still operating.
Automatic P.9010 Calibre Provides a Three-Day Power Reserve
The Luminor Marina PAM01707 is powered by the automatic P.9010 calibre.
The movement operates at a frequency of 28,800 vibrations per hour and uses two spring barrels to provide a power reserve of three days.
The movement also allows independent adjustment of the hour hand.
Combined with the 300-metre water resistance and lightweight Carbotech construction, the P.9010 provides the mechanical foundation for the new Luminor Marina.
Brown Leather and Black Rubber Straps
Panerai supplies the PAM01707 with a brown calfskin leather strap finished with contrasting beige stitching. The buckle is made from titanium with a DLC coating.
A black rubber strap is also supplied as an alternative.
The Panerai Luminor Marina PAM01707 Carbotech is priced at approximately €15,200.
With its 44 mm Carbotech case, 300-metre water resistance, three-day automatic movement and clean sandwich dial, the PAM01707 combines the familiar Luminor Marina design with one of Panerai's distinctive modern composite materials.
