"Love on our 30th"

In 1999, for my parents’ 30th wedding anniversary, my mother gave my father a Rolex, engraved with “Love on our 30th”. He wore it religiously as a sign of their beautiful marriage.

After quintuple bypass surgery and multiple stents later, he only wears an Apple Watch so as to be able to monitor his heart at all times. This year, the year of my 50th birthday, my dad gifted this watch to me so that this beautiful timepiece, a gift of love, can be kept in the family and worn as an exhibit of the love with which it was given.
