Urwerk Releases UR-10 SpaceMeter Blue Final Edition

Urwerk has unveiled the final version of its UR-10 SpaceMeter, the unconventional model first introduced in 2025. At first glance, the watch surprised many collectors with its comparatively traditional appearance. Yet beneath the almost classical two-hand display lies another of Urwerk’s experiments with time and space.

The new UR-10 SpaceMeter Blue Final Edition is limited to just 25 pieces and features a blue dial inspired by the colour of planet Earth.

Three Displays Tracking the Movement of the Earth

While the watch displays hours and minutes through central syringe-shaped hands in a largely conventional layout, its complexity is hidden within three auxiliary counters.

Together, the subdials track the movement of Earth as it rotates on its axis and travels around the Sun.

The counter positioned near 2 o’clock measures every 10 kilometres travelled by Earth during a single day with graduations of 500 metres. The display at 4 o’clock tracks every 1,000 kilometres travelled along Earth’s orbit with 20-kilometre increments. A third display near 9 o’clock combines both trajectories across two synchronised scales.

Sandblasted Titanium Case and Blue Dial

The watch is housed in a sandblasted titanium case featuring an octagonal profile and a prominent crown positioned at 12 o’clock.

Case dimensions measure 45.4 mm in diameter, 44 mm in length and 7.13 mm in thickness excluding the crystals.

The convex blue dial is finished with circular satin brushing. The counters at 2 and 4 o’clock are slightly recessed into the dial surface and feature sandblasted finishing. Both displays are equipped with luminescent hands.

Dual Flow Turbines and Earth Rotation Display

Turning the watch over reveals a large central rotor finished in the same blue tone as the dial.

The rotor is framed by a 24-hour scale tracking Earth’s full rotation, indicated by a hand featuring an arrow-shaped tip.

Beneath the rotor blades sits the movement developed together with Vaucher Manufacture. Above the mainspring barrel, which provides a 43-hour power reserve, sits a module incorporating Urwerk’s patented Dual Flow Turbines system.

The mechanism uses two vertically stacked turbines rotating in opposite directions to slow the rotation of the rotor blades and preserve the operation of the movement.

Limited to 25 Pieces

The UR-10 SpaceMeter Blue Final Edition is fitted to a sandblasted titanium bracelet equipped with a folding clasp.

Approximate pricing before taxes is set at CHF 70,000.
