Stolen Rolex Watches Linked to Keanu Reeves Recovered in Chile
Six Rolex watches stolen from the Los Angeles residence of Hollywood actor Keanu Reeves in 2023 have been recovered in Chile. The find took place during an investigation into a series of burglaries in Santiago. Police searching a suspect’s home seized various luxury items, among them the distinctive timepieces.

Identification and Background
The watches were identified by a police detective who noticed a specific engraving: “THE JOHN WICK FIVE — KEANU — THANK YOU — JW4 — 2021”. This matched the custom Rolex Submariner models that Keanu Reeves had presented to members of his stunt team after filming the fourth John Wick instalment. These watches were not standard production pieces. Each was engraved with a personalised dedication and produced in a very limited number, making them unique collector’s items.
About the Rolex Submariner Model
The Rolex Submariner is one of the most recognisable diving watches in the world, introduced in 1953 and known for its water resistance, durability and rotating bezel for measuring dive times. The model gifted to Reeves’ stunt team was based on the classic steel Submariner Date reference, featuring a black dial and Cerachrom ceramic bezel insert. The engraving on the case back made each watch distinct from any retail version, further increasing its rarity and value to collectors.
Criminal Links and Repatriation
Investigations confirmed that the suspects had been involved in criminal activity in the United States. Following the high-profile burglaries, they relocated to Chile, taking the stolen property with them. Chilean authorities are now working with the United States embassy to facilitate the return of the recovered watches and other valuables to their legal owner.
