Louis Vuitton Creates the Unity Time Object for UNICEF Charity Auction
To mark ten years of partnership with UNICEF, Louis Vuitton has unveiled an unusual horological object known as the Unity Time Object.
Designed in the shape of a football, the piece will be offered during a Sotheby's auction in New York taking place from 9 to 18 June. Proceeds from the sale will be donated directly to UNICEF in support of the organisation's work with children around the world.

A Football-Inspired Time Display
The Unity Time Object displays the time using two rotating cylinders positioned at the top of the spherical structure.
One cylinder indicates the hours, while the other displays the minutes. The minute cylinder is decorated with Louis Vuitton's signature Monogram pattern, incorporating one of the brand's most recognisable design elements into the display.
The current time appears through two hexagonal apertures integrated into the football-inspired exterior.
Diamond-Set Hour and Minute Windows
The two display windows are distinguished by contrasting diamond settings.
The hour aperture is surrounded by 144 white diamonds, while the minute aperture is decorated with 120 black diamonds.
Movement by L'Épée 1839
Powering the Unity Time Object is a movement manufactured by L'Épée 1839.
The mechanism is wound manually using a key that can be inserted either from the side or from the top of the object.
Louis Vuitton presents the piece in a specially designed presentation case inspired by the brand's iconic travel trunks.
On Display at Sotheby's New York
Collectors and visitors will have the opportunity to view the Unity Time Object during Sotheby's public exhibition in New York.
The exhibition will be open free of charge from 11 to 18 June, allowing the public to examine the unique creation before it is offered for sale as part of the charity auction.
